Download for Windows- Run the installer. No administrator rights needed.
- If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway. Fantyzo is new, so Windows doesn't recognise it yet.
- If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep.
Linux Mint & Ubuntu
Download for Linux- For Linux Mint 22.x, and Ubuntu 24.04 using an Xorg (X11) session.
- Install from the download folder with
sudo apt install ./fantyzo_1.8.1_amd64.deb - Not for Wayland-only desktops such as Ubuntu 26.04's standard desktop.

Is Fantyzo really free?
Yes. Fantyzo is completely free to download and use. There is no fee, no subscription, no trial period, no ads and no watermark. Imagine Foundry offers it as a gift to the Second Life community and everyone who needs a simple screenshot tool.
Do I need to register or create an account?
No. Fantyzo needs no registration, no account, no email address and no sign-in. Download it, install it and start capturing.
Is Fantyzo a free alternative to Gyazo?
Yes. Like Gyazo, Fantyzo lets you press a hotkey, drag a box around part of your screen and get a shareable link on your clipboard, and it can also record your screen. Fantyzo is free, with no paid tier and no account.
Where do my screenshots go?
Screenshots are uploaded anonymously to catbox.moe, a free public image host, and the link is copied to your clipboard and saved in your Fantyzo History. No copy is kept on your computer.
Can I delete a screenshot after uploading it?
No. Anonymous uploads to catbox.moe cannot be deleted, and anyone with the link can view the image. Please don't capture passwords or anything private.
Where are my screen recordings saved?
Recordings are saved as MP4 videos in the Fantyzo folder inside your Videos folder. They never leave your computer unless you choose to share them.
Which operating systems does Fantyzo support?
Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit), Linux Mint 22.x, and Ubuntu 24.04 using an Xorg session. A macOS version is not available yet.
Why does Windows say “Windows protected your PC”?
Fantyzo is new, so Windows SmartScreen doesn't recognise it yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only download Fantyzo from imagine-foundry.com or the Imagine Foundry store in Second Life.
Is Fantyzo good for Second Life?
Yes. Fantyzo was made by Imagine Foundry, a Second Life tools company. Snap part of your viewer, then paste the link straight into local chat, IMs, group chat or Discord.
