Private saving & sharing

Upload is not Share.

Saving a screenshot privately and showing it to other people are two separate decisions.

Private Cloud saving

In the Pro Cloud path, upload saves a screenshot to authenticated storage in your account. Knowing or copying its private object address does not create a public link or authorize another account.

Deliberate public sharing

The planned Share feature will make sharing an explicit action. It is still in development for 2.4.0. Do not treat a private Cloud address as a public share link, or assume that copying it will let someone else open your screenshot.

Share controls and any link management options will be documented when released. This page does not promise that public-link creation, expiry, or revocation is currently available.

Older public screenshot links

The free 2.3.2 release uploads screenshots anonymously to Catbox. Anyone with a link can view that image. Deleting the local History entry or preview does not remove the online image, and Fantyzo cannot delete that anonymous upload.

Private Cloud policy does not apply retroactively to Catbox links. Avoid capturing passwords, authenticator codes, private conversations, or information you are not entitled to publish through a public-hosting workflow.

Picture frames are a display choice

Sending a supported screenshot link to a Second Life picture frame is an action to display that image. People who can see the frame may see the picture. Cloud-to-frame support is still being developed; a frame should not be assumed to have private Cloud access.

Sharing cannot control someone else’s copies

Once you let someone view an image, they may save or capture it. Removing a file or changing access later cannot erase copies another person has already made.
